To Let DS2 sleep a it longer?

He has a good bedtime routine and is generally in bed by 8.30 latest and up by 7-8am.

yesterday we were out down the coast all day then went to my sisters and had dinner there before coming home, so he went to bed at 9. He woke up at 4am itching madly. I sat up with him hoping he would drift off after having his piriton but he didn't. At about 12 he and I were having a hug on my bed and we both fell asleep, I woke up at 1.30 he is still asleep.

Now AIBU to let him sleep a bit longer while I enjoy my coffee before I wake him up?

I know tonight he will be up a bit later but he is having bad sleep of a night due to bad eczema (which is starting to clear up - thankfully)

I am shattered so I imagine he must be. He was so itchy this morning that he sat in the shower for 30 minutes as it "Makes my itchy cold mum"

Fabby thats what I was thinking. He has had such a lot of interupted sleep as his eczema has been so so bad covering one entire side of his body.

Then no, YANBU, if you waken him you will probably have a grumpy child on your hands and wish you had left him.

If he's feeling poorly/overtired then I'd say best to let him sleep. You know the trade off though - if he does manage to go to bed/sleep near normal time tonight then you're going to have a very early start tomorrow!
