Is this a normal reaction to tattoo platters?

I haven't had a tattoo, but I used one of the big clear plasters used after tattoos to patch test a cream on my arm. Clearly, I've reacted more to the plaster than to the cream. But the rash is not itchy, which it usually is when I react to plasters. So is the rash an allergic reaction or a normal reaction?

This is the plaster. It was recommended on MN. I think it's better than most plasters on me, as normally, if I've had such a reaction to a plaster, removing the plaster takes some of the skin away with it. And it itches like mad. But there's no itching or blistering with this one.

I applied it in the evening, so not immediately after a shower, and hadn't used anything on my skin that day. The clear patch in the middle of the rash is where I put the cream I was testing. No reaction to the cream.

Never heard of a tattoo plaster and I’ve got several tattoos! I think this is a reaction to the adhesive? After tattoos I’ve always had mine wrapped in cling film.

This happens to both my children when they have numbing cream applied before an injection. They always react to the plaster that's applied. Looks like the same rash. I think it's contact-dermatitis (not a doctor ha, just my musings).

Never heard of tattoo plasters! By thier very nature I'd assume they'd be low risk. Had you washed your skin before putting it on? Maybe the cream reacted to something already on your skin, biddy lotion etc?
