Teeth whitening - dentist or crest strips?

My teeth has been something that's bothered me for years, I've tried many whitening toothpastes and had a laser treatment thing but it's made barely any difference at all. My local dentist offers teeth whitening where they make you shields and you take home and do it. I'm debating doing that or just ordering some crest strips, will the dentists route whiten them more? Has anyone got any experience in which they can compare? Also is there a specific type of the crest strips that are best as there seems to be a few different ones.

Dentist prescribes carbomide peroxide instead of hydrogen peroxide which is much kinder to teeth and doesn't make them sensitive. I have really sensitive teeth and this doesn't bother me whereas hydrogen peroxide absolutely killed my teeth. They were so painful!

Crest strips don't work, I couldn't tell a difference.

You can buy the whitening stuff with the light in the tray which is pretty cheap and really works but it's only temporary. Your teeth go back to the same colour after a couple of weeks unless you keep using it.

Im a teeth whitening pro! 😁

Can the Crest strips be used on sensitive teeth/receding gums?

I did whitening with the dentist, but it was absolute agony so I stopped. Loved the results when I did it though. My husband did it too and had no pain at all.

I've done it (or at least started it) through the dentist. I'm not sure what has happened to my teeth, but it has left me in serious pain with sensitive teeth. I was embarrassed about the shade of my teeth but now I just wish I was pain free.

Yes I think I will actually, but there seems to be a few different types of the crest strips even the professional 3D ones which seem to be the best there is 2 types luxe and the regular ones and I can't tell what the difference is!

Do the crest white strips.
I've done them twice in the last 10 years and they really, really work.

I know someone who did teeth whitening through a dentist.
He made her some shields, gave her the chemicals and off she went home and did the rest herself.
He also charged her a LOT of money for this.
She was very cross and she says the crest white strips are every bit as good as the dentist.
