Hi guys, I'm looking at booking a little holiday for next year..I'm wondering which is the best holiday park to book? I've already been to primrose valley. Children will be 6,9,14.

I don’t think anyone has mentioned any Welsh sites yet, but we loved Presthaven. And people rave about Hafan y Mor

If you’re nearer the south, we just came back from Trecco Bay which is a Parkdean but we had a great time

Berwick and Haggeston Castle are both lovely.

I've been to Perran Sands, seaview and lakeland and would say best was probably perran sands mainly for location though . The parks were pretty similar.

Oops never finished that post. All activities are extortionate prices and booked. £80 for the four of us to go on their Ariel adventure, which took about 30 mins at best. Food was just ok, can get much nicer food for the same price outside the park. Wouldn't let the kids wander about the park alone in the evening's as people getting arrested, and one drunk guy passing my 10 year old (talking about someone else) I would fuckin bang her all night.

We were in haggerston castle, so may be we picked the wrong park, won't be trying again though, nice Airbnb, with some, compared to Haggerston 'cheap' days out and good food in nice dog and children friendly country pubs.

I really liked Devon cliffs. Weymouth bay/sea view was awful this year I don’t think we will go back. Booked in for perran sands next year.

We’ve been to Thorpe park and Hopton. Both clues to beaches. Hopton beach felt like a private beach and is an easy walk to Gorleston . More going on near Thorpe Park if you like cleethorpes although the beech is muddy.

Seashore or Caister in Norfolk are both good, especially for older children.

Sorry - we ate in site restaurant (not dire!!)

We are staying at Wild Duck in Norfolk right now. Prestige 3-bed (8-berth) caravan is very nice (central heating, double glazing, 2 bathrooms, full size fridge freezer, microwave, 2 TVs).
Site is nice. We are in dire restaurant one night. We had chip shop another evening from site chippy.
We’ve rented bikes, ids have done archery, swimming, been to indoor and outdoor pools, got segway booked for later in the week and older ones are doing rifle shooting.
We’ve been to Great Yarmouth (typical British seaside but nice), Gorleston (nicer beach) Lowestoft and Southwold (more MC)!
Still planning on Norwich and we have tickets to Bewilderwood tomorrow.
We’ve done Center Parcs at Elveden Forest before and actually the site are pretty comparable (but no Starbucks on Haven, much to DD12’s sadness!) Wild Duck is Havens only forest park.

Sorry - Cala Gran was the only one we weren't keen on.

We've been to quite a few of them over the years. We were owners at Devon Cliffs for 14 years so used to get a discount on breaks at other Haven places.

My favourite park is Craig Tara. Takes ages to get to from where we live but was well worth the journey.

Devon Cliffs is in a lovely location with a fab beach, but the facilities are nowhere near big enough for the size of the park nowadays. Each year we were there more & more caravans & lodges were added without any increase in the size of the complex, swimming pools, restaurants etc.

Craig Tara seemed to be much more in proportion IYSWIM.

The only one I was keen on was Cala Gran near Blackpool.

Ideally I'm looking more in the area than the site it's self although a reasonable pool would be great

Haggerston Castle wasn't great when we went. I got food poisoning and the all the kids area smelled of damp and dirt. I need a shower just thinking about it.

We've got Marton Mere booked, we went last year and it was really clean, all the staff were friendly and there's a direct bus from the park to Blackpool beach so nice and easy for days out. Not far from the zoo either

The one in the lakes is small but nice. We spent ten days at golden sands in Lincolnshire this summer. It had loads on and was really clean/didn't feel too crowded
