In need of a new hoover, currently got a Henry and I cannot lug it up the stairs anymore it kills my back off!
Anyone recommend a decent cordless one ? Only have carpet on the stairs and the landing. I've been looking at the shark anti hair wrap

We got a gtech air ram a few weeks ago and to sound really sad it makes me so happy!!!! We had a miele which I had to drag upstairs but the gtech, you just push around, its so light I can pick it up and pop it on the sofa or a chair to get the crumbs. Only annoying thing is hair getting wrapped round the bottom, it only takes 5 mins a week clearing it 2ddand me have long hair.

Thanks for responding. Is the air ram any good for pet hair ? Got a big fluff ball of a cat! I mainly want it for lightness and ease just whizzing it round, does is become handheld? Also debating the dyson v10

I had g tech air ram when they first came out, very happy with it, until I got the cordless shark pet with anti hair wrap, absolutely brilliant, I got fed up with cutting my hair out of the brush bar on every other hoover I have owned. The anti hair wrap really works.

We've got an old gtech and it's absolutely ruined from the hair now so I don't even bother using it! I think it's between the anti hair wrap shark and the dyson - I like the idea of mounting the dyson on the wall to charge as space is an issue in our house too but not sure if it's worth the extra £££

I love my Dyson! It’s the V10 cordless and an absolute beauty! Total game changer for hoovering as soo easy to grab and go, don’t think will ever go back to corded now. I have long hair and has a clever pick up so you don’t get loads of tangles wrapped round it ( have picked out the odd few but not lots). Low profile and easy steer makes it good for getting under low sofas/ chairs/ beds. Would say is def worth the high price tag

Battery not bad at all. I find it does charge quickly if you don’t manage to get round the whole house, so quick charge and then back on to finish. I do use the extra power boost button for certain areas like the door mats and high traffic areas though ( which drains the battery quicker than the standard power setting) so satisfying though to see the dust/ grime getting sucked away!

I like my Dyson-they are light and convenient and you can just grab and go. They seem less of a gaff than the standard vacuum. I've had mine 3 years.
However if you have a decent size house it pays to invest in recent model of it because the batteries have improved over time and model.

I've just got a GTech K9, and it comes with a cutting tool for the hair that gets wrapped around the brush bar.
