The thread of small things

Following on from another thread about feeling lack of motivation/energy during this time I thought it would be good to have a thread where we can place what we have achieved during these weird days - no matter how small.

I’ll start - today I have made my bed and been for a short jog.

I’ve tidied my bathroom cupboard.

I'm now sitting down again! They were all small tasks, but I feel better.

I was sitting on my backside, still in pyjamas,
feeling exhausted (for no reason) when I found this thread. Focussed the mind. I've now -

• done a proper cleanse of my face, rather than a quick wash. Cleanser, face scrub, serum and eye cream. Skin now feels lovely.
• dressed and put on perfume.
• been out and put some water in the bird bath.
• ordered some nice soap from Amazon.

And am now making a chicken casserole for dinner.

Small things.

Just been to do my weekly shop. Supermarket nearly deserted, I didn't even have to queue at the tills.

Made a shopping list and a ‘to do’ list...just have to get round to the doing

I have ditched the collection of cartons that accrued in the post Christmas backlog of waste.
I'd like to say I feel liberated by such a grim endevour, but that would be a tad excessive

I'm waiting for food delivery then cooking homemade chilli con carne. I'd love to bake a cake but that doesn't help the diet!

Tidied a pile of clothes in my bedroom. Resolved not to buy any more hoodies (realised I have too many).

I bought 2 bunches of daffodils at the shop.

I have watered the plants and made a nice pot of coffee
