Are £50 heated gloves worth the money?

I want to get heated gloves, the prices massively vary but seen a good pair online for £50. Is it worth it? I'm sick of having cold hands!

Ugg gloves are incredible. Had them for 10 years still in great nick and wash well.

I wear mittens rather than gloves as they keep my hands much warmer. I am out every day walking/hiking with my dogs and my hands must be warm.

I'd say probably not worth the money.

Last year I bought a pair of suede gloves with cashmere lining from TKMaxx for less than £20, and they are the warmest gloves I've had by far.

Because they only have about 4 seconds of warmth in them. Heated gloves I'd have heated when I'm walking outside

As someone with probable Reynaud's syndrome (I've never been diagnosed but my mother was and I have exactly the same symptoms), I would say possibly.

If you can get gloves with elements that extend down the fingers, they are definitely worth paying for. If the gloves just heat the back of the hands then a cheaper option will be as good.

The ones with heated fingers that I bought were a previous generation of these. Expensive but worth every penny. I managed 6 hours outdoors during The Beast From The East in the ones i have. With my useless circulation, I struggle to unlock my door in normal gloves when the temperature is 1C.

I also thought the comment from @chairthistle was very rude. I can easily afford £50, I'd spend it on other items of clothing I'd use far less. I guess a case of being able to be rude as you want when you have a screen to protect you!

As someone who suffers with joint problems, especially in my fingers, I'd happily pay £50 for a pair of gloves that eased this.
The motorbike ones are a bit bulky for me though, do they do them any more fitted at all?

I have severe Raynauds and sadly cannot afford 50 for heated gloves, but i do wear thin gloves with silver thread( about 8 pounds from Amazon) under sheepskin mittens. This works a treat. My Rhuemy told me any kind of thin glove under mittens is a game changer.

I'm tempted.
My current best set up is silk liners (full finger) under fingerless mitts under fleecy full size thick gloves. This works ok to stop painful hands (cycling) down to about -2 and only for about 75 minutes.

oh... and wrist warmers with that set up, too.

I can't find easy to use booties so my feet just come back as frozen blocks of ice.

Go to Decathlon and look at their skiing stuff, it's really warm. They also have mini hand warmers you can put inside pockets or gloves.

It doesn't have to be cold for one to need heated gloves. Raynauds as several people have pointed out on this thread, plus a plethora of other joint issues will make them extremely useful.

She ha spoor circulation, possible Reynauds, about 2% body fat and her hands are f'ing freezing most of the time. Her hands bier they're so cold
Now she has rechargeable heated gloves (the battery pack is removable,so gloves can be washed) and they make dog walking/bike rides bearable now. She will be wearing gloves, coat, hat etc even when others are just in a light jacket.

Well obviously I don't think it's senseless to spend £50 on something I really need and would use daily in winter, for years. No different than getting a coat.
