Talk to me about noise cancelling headphones

Fed up with my cheapie headphones. On the tube I can’t hear a thing!

I’m not keen on big heavy over the head ones, think they would make my head hurt.

So in ear options? I’ve tried DD’s Apple AirPods and they don’t feel very secure in my ears.

Any suggestions please?

@Polyxena are the Apple air pods noise cancelling? I tried my dd's ones yesterday and they felt ok in my ears.

Apple are currently doing an offer of free AirPods for students on purchase of a laptop. Dd needs a new laptop and I'm wondering whether to take advantage of this deal.

I have the <a class="break-all" href="https://smile.[[//amazon.co.uk/dp/B07T2FGG2Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ViFKFb6CRECBG?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">https://amazon.co.uk/dp/B07T2FGG2Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ViFKFb6CRECBG?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21 Sony Earbuds]] they're always really highly rated. They're really secure as you sort of twist them once they're in.

You need to listen to the episode on noise cancelling headphones on a podcast called 'the best thing since sliced bread'. They will talk to you about them! Very informative!

I've got AirPods Pro and I prefer them to the standard AirPods - more secure in my ears.

I thought about Bose, they’ve got those in ear ones out.
