noise-cancelling headphones

I can't actually stand it any more, working at a computer next to him (no, I can't move it sadly). The constant swallowing. The loud mouth breathing. The swearing at the computer. Please could I ask, does anyone have noise-cancelling headphones? I don't want to listen to anything through them, I just don't want to hear him.

Obviously I've looked online, but they all seem to be hideously expensive.

Any advice from someone who has some reasonably priced solution?

Thanks SO much in advance!

I got these Anker Q20 headphones which are fairly reasonably priced and work well for me (I have to take them off to hear what DH is saying). I paid less for them than they're currently selling for too, so I suspect the price has been hiked so there is a pre Xmas Black Friday reduction.

I have some as dh is a musician.
They don't work for this, but general background noise is cut out.
Anything loud forget it, mine were the most expensive as really needed the quiet.
We've just changed our working conditions to alleviate the bloody noise. Grin

I bought the Bose noise cancelling headphones (although I’m afraid they fit into the hideously expensive category). They have officially stopped selling them as they had charging issues....but I bought a second set on eBay in case my current set give up on me. They have been genuinely life changing (I am a terribly light sleeper); my husband and I can finally share a bed as his snoring no longer wakes me.

If you can get some on eBay, I really recommend them.

I got these last year and I find them quite good, not sure how they compare to Sony, etc.

these

They block out music from next door. I struggle to hear dh if he comes in the room to talk to me and I;m wearing them

Ah! That's useful to know, thanks!

I'm working too, so I don't want music.
