Would you recommend your pepper grinder?

I am sick of my crappy, have to chuck it away when it’s empty, Tesco pepper grinder.

I also hated my previous pepper grinder with a passion (it needed refilling one peppercorn at a time through an inadequate hole), and my mum’s pepper grinder (which often falls apart into whatever you’re trying to pepper).

Surely, someone out there must be able to recommend one which is reusable, easy to refill and doesn’t fall apart.

I have a Spice Boy spice grinder as a pepper grinder and it is awesome. I've had it donkeys years and it works brilliantly. Not cheap (£30 on Amazon) but honestly, cost per use must be tiny as I am totally Cruella de Ville when it comes to pepper. I think they look good too.

Another vote here for the OXO Good Grips. I’ve had mine for a few years now and they’re still going strong. In fact I’ve yet to be disappointed with a Good Grips product (their peeler is amazing).

For a cheap grinder this one has been brilliant (once I got the hang of which way up to change the compartments! Who doesn't love an avalanche of peppercorns all over the kitchen?! 😬)

just bought this OXO one from Argos
I like that I can adjust the thickness of the pepper.
My old one got so I got huge chunks of pepper in my teeth. Bleugh!!!

I like this one by Kuhn Rikon. Instead of twisting you move the ratchet to and fro which I find much easier. Very easy to refill, the front drops down.

I have the le creuset set and they have been great. Easy to fill and still grind properly with no loose parts.
The other one we were given was a battery operated one from Lidl. The top comes off completely so easy to fill.

I think mine has Paris ...something printed on it (its very old/faded) Its about 6" tall in dark wood finish. I polish it regularly with Mr Sheen.

We have the Paris in beechwood (uk.peugeot-saveurs.com/en/paris-manual-pepper-mill-natural-wood-18-cm.html). But I think the mechanism is the same in other shape grinders. I just wanted the classic colour and shape. We have a salt one too.

Having got really fed up with salt and pepper grounds all over my cupboards, from my 30 year old wedding present, old fashioned glass and steel grinders, I bought these:

Menu bottle grinders - lovely feel, and they dispense out of the top, and have ceramic grinders, with adjustable grinds. I haven't had them long, got them in Jan sale for £36, but lurve them. Look good too. Oh, and they have a MASSIVE reservoir, so I bought a large bag of peppercorns from Ocado at a really good price, and chucked them all in.

Mind are Cole and Mason (I think) and they are nearly 20 years old. Wooden tops and bottoms with clear middles.
