What does the Tooth Fairy want children's teeth FOR?

I can only think of nightmarish answers.

Does she eat them?

Does she build a castle out of them?

Is it because if a witch gets a part of your body the witch can curse you, and the tooth fairy's job is to keep you safe from that?

The tooth fairy collects them because they hold the child’s memories. At least that’s what happens in Rise of the Guardians Smile

She builds a castle out of them 😃

She builds her castle out of them so she only wants white, sparkly teeth.

They carve little toys for fairy children, of course.

(So Enid Blyton reckoned anyway)

I thought they made fairy dust out of them?

I agree she builds a castle. Each shiny tooth is like a brick Grin

She puts them in the sky to twinkle amongst the stars, hence why it's important to look after your teeth so she can put your pearly whites up high!

If your child looks carefully they might be able to see their tooth twinkling in the sky.

I had this one and had to think on my feet. I said the tooth fairy turns them into magic tooth dust and sprinkles it on the DC at night to make their big teeth grow.

She makes false teeth for old gnomes.

They hold children's memories?

That's still pretty damn spooky.

I think if I'd believed that as a child I'd have tried to swallow my tooth and keep my memory.

She uses them to spy on children, if they don’t brush their teeth, do their homework, eat their veg, be good and make mum a cup of coffee, she comes back for the rest! Grin obviously!

Magic tooth dist sounds sensible, but why is she paying you when she's doing you a service?

I didn't get that follow on question but I think I would have said its to say thank you for keeping your tooth nicely cleaned so that it makes good dust.

It's very creepy, actually, isn't it?

And just think how many she must have by now. Literally millions of other people's teeth.

Because children's teeth are magical and can be turned into gold. So she leaves behind one of the coins for the child as payment. Adults teeth aren't magic because most adults don't believe completely in magic anymore.
