OMFG they are revolting - not rare enough Grin

Bugger me, they were even worse than I expected!

They're alright if you're going to a fancy dress party dressed as a llama.

Report
frostyfingers · 11/10/2018 11:28

Think of the chafing! Grim, truly grim.

Jozen · 11/10/2018 11:30

They just scream "fucked after one wear". All the bobbling and thread pulling after catching on things...

UpstartCrow · 11/10/2018 11:30

This is what happens when you dont plan ahead and buy enough yarn.

Holy fuck, they're hideous! They look super itchy too. Utterly gobsmacked that they're sold out in all but 2 sizes. Who has bought them?!

Report
tectonicplates · 11/10/2018 11:37

And most of the sizes have sold out - who the AF is buying them?

Report
StableGenius · 11/10/2018 11:39

Wowzers! They remind me of a day in the 80s spent with my best friend sorting through her mum's collection of ancient sewing and knitting patterns. Our favourite: 'Knit Your Own Flares!'

They were in fetching acid green and orange, but on reflection, I think those camel horrors are worse.

Hoppinggreen · 11/10/2018 11:40

Much worse than I was expecting when I clicked
And how are they sold out in some sizes?
Hideous, probably what they wear down in that there London or something.

Fuck that’s bad! I was expecting an M and S type jobbie that looks awful in the pics but looks kind of acceptable on trendy instagrammers. There’s nothing on earth that could make that look good. It reminds me of a fashion parade we did at school where we made our outfits out of random bits of material held together with safety pins.

They aren't that bad!!

The horrors that my teacher would knit and wear to school, would give you nightmares. And no, I don't mean jumpers (though she knitted those too). She knitted her own skirts and trousers, the colours didn't work and it looked horribly itchy, always put my teeth on edge. She was always going on about making her own clothes, which OK people did more then than now, but, yeh. Scary.

Never seen knitted skirts or trousers since.

What aspect of them isn’t that bad? They’re the wrong length, bear no relation to the shape of a human leg and are the colour of baby poo. Oh, and they’re £120!

Can you imagine if you were wearing them and it started raining? There’s no way they’d be staying up,

Report
dingdongdigeridoo · 11/10/2018 12:41

Good GOD those are terrible. I saw someone in beige trousers a while ago and for a second thought they were naked from the waist down. These would make you look naked with very weird melting legs.

I’m guessing they’d also lose their shape and look like rags after a wash.

Heuschrecke · 11/10/2018 13:37

Hopping, please be assured that we don't wear this type of thing 'in that there London' Grin

Chortling at the thought of what would happen if you get caught in the rain!!

Report
Spudlet · 11/10/2018 13:40

I want to see a pair in the wild, flapping free in the breeze! They must be out there, obviously someone is buying them.

Other than That London (Grin), where do we think might be their natural habitat?

Sweet mother of god what demented mind thought that up and the top to match?!!!

My Mum had a knitted bathing costume when she was a child. She said she'd emerge from the water and it would be hanging to her knees!

Report
Babybearsporij · 11/10/2018 14:01

Oh dear. Who buys that? Especially at that price??

Report
MrsPear · 11/10/2018 14:19

My children are the height of fashion! There is a matching jacket too. Btw on a small child it is cute and cosy but an adult Confused

Thank goodness it's a rarity. (knitted trousers!)

when when compared to the monstrosities my teacher wore all of it!
But as no one else has that memory unless at my school I guess you'll have to take my word for it, just think how bad her clothes were compared to that if my comment is they're not that bad!

Report
Lindy2 · 11/10/2018 14:27

Oh my! They're even more individual than I imagined. I laughed so loud I woke the baby. 😂

Ah I see. From their camel toe collection I assume.
