OK this has not been done for a while.

Tesco have just delivered, the item substituted was spring roll wrappers.

Guess what was substituted? Clue it was edible.

Belindabauer · 14/08/2018 15:44

I was going to say pastry.

Itsanothernamechange · 14/08/2018 15:44

Box of lindt

sashh · 14/08/2018 15:54

Whole spring rolls?

FogCutter · 14/08/2018 16:12

Fajita wraps or taco shells?

sashh · 14/08/2018 16:17

Nope.

Spring rolls I could understand, or another 'wrapper'.

One more clue it was 2 packs of 350g.

I'll be back at 4.30 for the big reveal - which actually might be a big disappointment.

Belindabauer · 14/08/2018 16:21

Butter?
Or a loaf of bread?

Ginosaji · 14/08/2018 16:25

Ratbagratty · 14/08/2018 16:27

Bread rolls, multipack sized!

Frusso · 14/08/2018 16:29

Ugh, shameless place marking for anti climatic reveal

Moomicorn · 14/08/2018 16:30

Sausages

Yumyumpigs · 14/08/2018 16:33

Spring greens?

sashh · 14/08/2018 16:36

Prawns.

Cooked, peeled and frozen prawns.

I HATE prawns, I was once really ill after eating some when I was about 6 and still can't face even trying them.

Ginosaji · 14/08/2018 17:05

Wow thats so the same type of item Confused

Ginosaji · 14/08/2018 17:10

If that was me, in the absence of any other wrappers of the same kind i would have given you spring rolls, not duck ones tho incase you were a vegetarian

cjt110 · 14/08/2018 17:13

I once ordered scotch eggs. They sent me 12 free range eggs.

Sunnysidegold · 14/08/2018 17:17

I've been quite lucky with my online shopping but yesterday I needed a tzatziki dip for a Greek pasta salad I was making. They gave me cheese and chive instead. So I learned how to make my own tzatziki and it was fab!

Yogagirl123 · 14/08/2018 17:22

You got off lightly OP, I know someone who ordered carrots and got fishfingers!

Ordered 1 punnet of beansprouts for a chinese thing i was doing for 4 people
Got = ONE sprout, the sort your gran gives you for christmas dinner round at hers. I carefully shredded it,mixed in some flaked almonds, tossed it in a salad dressing and served it in 4 tiny little side dishes)Grin

DarlingNikita · 14/08/2018 17:29

Prawns? Confused

Is the thought process 'Shite, we've got no spring roll wrappers... I know, she must be making spring rolls, and she probably wants prawns to go in them...' ?

This kind of thing has never happened to me. I did once order the wrong size mineral water though and got home expecting my six-pack of 1.5-litre bottles, only to see a six-pack of the tiny 'handbag-sized' ones marooned in the middle of the kitchen floor.

It was like the Stonehenge scene in Spinal Tap.

Ginosaji · 14/08/2018 17:39

@DarlingNikita with some pickets that ive met very probably Grin
