What would you buy yourself for £50?

An elderly relative has transferred me £50 that they’d like me to use to buy something for myself for them to see me unwrap when we see them at Christmas. There’s nothing I really need so I’m struggling to decide what to buy. It needs to be an actual gift as well rather than a voucher.
What would you choose?

I love spending other people’s money on myself!
Recent years purchases have included
Emma Bridgewater mugs
Clothes such as a jumper or pjs
New earrings
Grimms hearts (wooden toys but lovely to look at and display)
Books
Nice candle

@Stiffcondomhat
They want you to buy yourself something then wrap it so you can open it in front of them? Ehhh? Do you have to look surprised?
We had a blind relative we did this for, and it actually was lovely that they could see and hold what we had chosen for them to get us. They are actually treasured presents now, even though they weren’t picked by them.

I'd put it towards a bottle of Kenzo Jungle which someone mentioned in another thread, it sounds really lovely and now I want a bottle but really can't justify it. I'd have to add about £15 I think.

SockFluffInTheBath · 08/12/2021 08:27
My mum has done this for me and I got myself a rhododendron (less than £50) at the weekend. I’d spend £50 on plants and seeds, but if you prefer perfume then go for it
SpookyScarySkeletons · 08/12/2021 08:49
Another option - molten brown shampoo and conditioner. It smells divine and makes my hair so soft and shiny but it's so flipping expensive I can't justify buying it regularly.
kavalkada · 08/12/2021 08:53
I’d buy myself board game and jigsaw puzzle. I’m like a kid, I like toys. And a christmas Book if I find board game at sale
