M&S food - what should I buy?
Filterphobia · 04/12/2021 13:02
I’m off to M&S this afternoon. What Christmas treats should I buy from the food hall? I’m looking for some inspiration.
So far on my list I have the tin of very merry munch, some Colin hot choc stirrers, cheeses although I don’t know which ones.
So can anyone recommend what’s good to buy. I don’t need things for actual Christmas dinner, I’m just stocking up on some snacks and treats.

Been in today, was heaving, no social distancing, so pick up some snacks, chicken liver parfait, a slice of three meat terrine and a bloody gorgeous burrito to split open drizzle with pesto and have yummy bits to dip in.

Sorry I posted before realising you’d already been! However if you’re back in or for anyone else looking, try their ‘best ever’ trifle like I said and meant to add their Thai sweet chilli crisps. Yum

Tillsforthrills · 17/12/2021 10:54
The barbecue belly pork squares are delicious. I approve of most of the Xmas food!

I went in searching for the decorate your own Christmas tree pastries to have as our Christmas dinner starter but couldn’t find them at all .
Got a Christmas Colin the caterpillar for DC though.

Absolutely love the reduced fat Honey Roast Ham crisps ( full fat ones not ridged and too hard), the sliced Jarlsberg cheese Blackcurrant Sundaes and Coffee and Walnut cake.
ScouseQueen · 17/12/2021 01:31
Oh the turkey combo mix are nicer than you'd think. Vegetarian too.

What I bought:
Cornish cruncher cheese
Black olive crackers
Red onion chutney
Belgian choc florentines
Turkey feast combo mix crisps
Plus loads of nuts 🤣
I couldn’t find choc cashews though only honey roasted.

@Filterphobia what did you get?
Oblomov21 · 05/12/2021 21:32
Watching. I've already ordered Christmas food.
Titsywoo · 05/12/2021 21:26
I went into a big M&S today and was very disappointed at the party food/xmas food offering. Hardly anything there compared to normal :(
courtshoe · 05/12/2021 21:23
I've just been in M&S food to order. Looking for a dressed salmon ( as per previous experience) to order for a party on NYE.
It seems they don't do their food to order service anymore. Now it's through Ocado ( who don't deliver to my postcode) grrrr..
Anyone got any bright ideas?
mummyof2boys30 · 05/12/2021 20:00
Any christmas desserts recommended from M&S. Was meant to make a cheesecake but sickened myself on one this weekend lol

The mini kievs are gluten free as well!
I have purchased the chocolate light up village. Very excited to surprise my daughter with it.
peaceanddove · 04/12/2021 23:07
Another vote for the honey roasted cashews. They might as well label them as crack cocaine.
LemonCake79 · 04/12/2021 19:59
The honey roasted cashews.
CrocodilesCry · 04/12/2021 19:39
Cornish Cruncher biscuits - incredible. I'm buying boxes of them for Christmas buffets!
Plantsandpuddlesuits · 04/12/2021 19:26
Party food is amazing and lots of it can frozen. On 4 for 3 aswell
We've just had the baked camembert with sweet chilli glaze for dinner
We do our weekly shop in m and s so basically can recommend the whole shop!
The satsumas with leaves on in a box are lovely for this time of year
They do a square wicker basket with nuts in and a.nutcracker for £5 we get this every year
The frozen pastries.eg pain au choc are great
The deli items on 3 for £7 are great for lunches
Wine wise we like the dog on the tuckerbox pinot grigio
Salt and pepper cashew nuts
Like I said we do our weekly shop there!
