MushMonster · 28/11/2021 20:44
Boots! Mine broke, so I want a pair of ankle boots to replace them.
I have also been looking for long boots, so another pair.
StarryNightSparkles · 28/11/2021 20:49
Hi OP,
I am the same as you really struggling for ideas and people keep asking me 😕
So far I have thought of:
Sushi kit
Make up lamp
Flavoured tea selection
Lowri print
CDs because I am old and still love them singing along in the car.
I hope that helps you.

Oh this year I need everything. Every other year I can never think of a single thing. I need a new laptop, my perfume is right down, my face cream is nearly finished, I need a few bits and pieces. If dh asks I think he'll be in for a shock. I'll probably just pick one thing as it's quite expensive.
LuluBlakey1 · 28/11/2021 20:59
Nothing. Can't think of a single thing I want or need. Am totally unbothered by presents. Want the children to have a lovely time with me and DH.
starrynight19 · 28/11/2021 21:00
Aww Thankyou everyone for your help. I didn’t mean for this to turn into anything other than a helpful thread.
I have been a long time away from here so have likely missed so many other threads just thought how good the Christmas ones used to be. I was actually part of the original Christmas threads where we nominated people and sent gifts. Thanks all for your replies.

I buy for myself (single mum) but am struggling for ideas too.
I think maybe a piece of jewellery - necklace or earrings.
New slippers
Perfume
It’s my birthday in a fortnight too, so double whammy!
starrynight19 · 28/11/2021 21:01
@LuluBlakey1
Absolutely

Longdistance · 28/11/2021 21:01
Well, I’m running low on my Armani she/Elle perfume, so dh is getting me 100ml of that as it’s my signature fragrance.
thedefinitionofmadness · 28/11/2021 21:02
A day off
Failing that, handcream, piano lessons, a fancy japanese camping insulated water bottle and a box of after eights

No need to apologise. Please ignore the disgusting troll and enjoy the lovely Christmas thread you have created.
A secret santa gift thread sounds fab. How did that work?
NeedsCharging · 28/11/2021 21:04
FGS Tool you have made your point!
I hope you feel clever and superior now.
OP
I am usually the same and never have ideas for myself but this year I have asked DP for
New winter boots
Espresso Cup and saucer set.
Books
Boots voucher
PJs
Chocolates
And anything else he thinks I may like.
starrynight19 · 28/11/2021 21:05
That was when mumsnet was a lot lot smaller. We just nominated people and we got told what age their children were and sent gifts. It really was in the spirit of mumsnet in the early days. It just became impossible to manage as the site grew. Thankyou for your kind comments
thedefinitionofmadness · 28/11/2021 21:11
I remember that, the mumsnet christmas list - many usernames ago. It was lovely
StarryNightSparkles · 28/11/2021 21:19
@starrynight19

Sounds like a fab time 💐
kowari · 28/11/2021 21:21
I'm not fussed if I don't get presents but I do like anything from small local businesses.
These socks are lovely and I love this tea [[https://www.glowingtruth.com/
