I have 9 months between my two sons births and 11 between my daughters.

I'm really concerned and worried by you saying that your conceptions were 'not chosen by me' but by your ex.

The implications of that are huge. I am so sorry. Have you talked to anyone about that?

Wow that's fab. It's almost like 2 sets of twins really, isn't it.
I lost a baby before being blessed with my DD. There would have been 11 months between them. However I do often wonder had that pregnancy been successfull would I have had my (current) DD.

I had my first at 20 (different partner) and my 5th at 27. I managed, because I had to. My ex h (a big part of why he is an ex) didn't help much at all, I did all the night feeds, wakings etc. In fact I did it all.
He did work though so I didn't have to, that made a difference. I will say myself and my children are all very close now, we talk about anything and everything.

No c-sections all v births. Actually except for ds1 they were all premature, ds3 being the earliest.

I would recommend close age gaps if you have support. My boys are so close and now they are older so are my daughters. In the younger years it was hard.

I only have two but agree teenagers are way easier and more fun than small children.

Would you recommend small age gaps? What was the toll on you personally going through pregnancies and births back to back? Did you ever have a c-section and how did it compare to a vaginal birth?

4 Teenagers is much better than 4 little ones.

I usually go to bed before they do.

They are generally so well behaved. Still have the odd moments though.
I have to leave them for a few hours each day to work during these summer holidays and they have been brilliant.
(I do have neighbours keeping an eye on them)

When they were little the youngest was a nightmare, she's still quite fiery now but for the right reasons.

None are in the same school year thankfully. DD's are about to go into years 9 & 10, ds 2 is entering his 2nd year of college and ds3 is first.

The 2nd conception's were not chosen by me. Ex h decided he knew better.
I love having them though and did even when they were little.

9 months is because ds 2 was born in March and ds 3 was 8 weeks early on Xmas day that same year.
Not the best Xmas day tbh.

Looking back would you have chosen larger age gaps?
All my friends with small age gaps agree the first year is tough but it gets much easier and those with large gaps find the opposite.
