The best knee-high boots
Autumn and winter aren't everyone's favourite seasons – and for good reason – but if there's one thing that can perk us up on drizzly, chilly mornings, it's pulling on a pair of our favourite knee-high boots. Endlessly stylish and usually really rather comfortable, they never go out of fashion. If you're on the look-out for your next pair, here's our round-up of the best knee high boots.
Ravel Lumsden Leather Knee-High Heeled Boots, £145
Made using lovely, soft leather, this 70s-inspired knee-high boot features an 8.5cm wooden stacked heel and a chic pointed toe. A classic and a versatile style, these boots will see you through autumn and winter in both comfort and style.
“I love a classic, heeled knee boot and these are stunning. The photo doesn’t do them justice – they are a gorgeous conker colour and the perfect balance of fitted and slouchy shape.”Buy them now from Amazon
Will's Vegan Store Riding Boots, £100
Whether you're a vegan or not, these knee-high riding boots make for an excellent AW19 footwear choice. Smart, stylish and hard wearing, they tick all our boxes. Pair with skinny jeans and a cosy jumper for an effortlessly classic look.
“I have a few pairs of boots from this company – they're well fitted and comfortable.”Buy them now from Will's Vegan Store
Stuart Weitzman Over-the-knee Boots, from £330
There's no denying that these over-the-knee boots are a little on the pricier side. However, if you fancy treating yourself to something that little bit more special, you won't regret this purchase. The boots are made from incredibly soft leather, and have a smart elastic back panel for added comfort. We love how flattering they are, too, as the over-the-knee height elongates the leg.
“I bought these around five years ago and they’re still going strong.”Buy them now from Amazon
Timberland Mont Chevalier Knee-high Boots, from £129
Practical yet stylish, these Timberland boots are perfect for the city and the countryside. The elastic stretch panels allow a little more room whilst the full-length side zip makes putting them on and taking them off incredibly easy. We'd pair these with tights and a denim dress.
“These Timberland ones are really comfy.”Buy them now from Amazon
Clarks Caddy Belle Boots, £155
Clarks' Caddy Belle boots are something of a Mumsnet cult item, loved for their comfort, style and durability. They're very flattering, too, and work with everything from jeans to dresses and skirts.
“I'm still living in last year's Caddy Belle's from Clarks because I can't find any new ones I love as much.”Buy them now from Clarks
Jilsen Kim Boots, £148
These knee high boots by Jilsen are perfect if you need a little extra room in the calf area. The fit is slightly wider than your average knee high boot (which can sometimes be a little restrictive as a style, we've noticed), and the zip runs down the whole length of the side, making it very easy to get them on and off. The heel height is just enough to give you a bit of lift, but not so much that you'll feel unsteady.
“I can't imagine winter without a pair of these to be honest – they’re so easy to wear and lovely quality.”Buy them now from Jilsen
Duo Cabell Boots, £250
We love Duo boots for their style and versatility, but also for the fact that they come in a wide range of calf sizes. This pair has classic brogue detailing and is made using super soft leather. They're not a cheap option, we'll admit, but for a investment boot that you'll be wearing for years to come, we don't think you can go very wrong with this Duo pair.
“Duo boots come in a huge number of calf sizes and the boots are lovely and well made. I've been a fan for, what, 10 years now – I even got married in a pair of their boots!”Buy them now from Duo
