Take part in the Great Tree House Challenge

The Great Tree House Challenge will be broadcast on Sky 1 HD in November, and Sky are currently working with communities to create the ultimate Tree House for the enjoyment and benefit of local people. If you are interested, or feel that your community could benefit from the programme then contact the producers at treehouse@octoberfilms.co.uk.

Heading up the search is Charlie Luxton (DIY SOS, I Own Britain’s Best Home), an architectural designer who is passionate about the environment, sustainable architecture and eco-friendly design.

The Great Tree House Challenge is one of a number of environment related programmes that Sky has commissioned as part of its on-going commitment to raise awareness of, and protect, the environment. Sky has also partnered with WWF on Sky Rainforest Rescue - a three-year project to help save a billion trees in the state of Acre, northwest Brazil. A donation of just £20 will help save 1,000 trees and Sky will match every donation up to the joint target of £4 million. For more information visit www.sky.com/rainforestrescue

Jo Fox, Sky’s Director of the Bigger Picture, said "We all know how important protecting the environment is and through our programming we want to inspire others to join with us to make a difference. We hope this programme really encourages people to think about the impact of their everyday lives."

THE GREAT TREE HOUSE CHALLENGE is an October Films Production for Sky 1 HD and will air in November 2011.
