"Fabulous, relaxing holiday…"
We went as a family group of 15 people to Aphrodite Hills in Oct 2016. We had three villas up the hill, which was about a 10 min drive from the main road, in a quiet, secluded part of the resort. Each villa was different, but all had pools and all were tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Our villa had beautiful beamed ceilings in the living and bedrooms and was very spacious with four double bedrooms and three bathrooms. The garden area was private and peaceful, well kept and with lovely flowering bushes (even in Oct), and we had a driveway that would've accommodated 2-3 vehicles.
The resort itself was beautifully kept and the golf course (which we didn't use), looked lovely. The main resort area had restaurants, a bar, Costa coffee shop, a very expensive supermarket, mini golf, etc, and there is also a Sensatori hotel as part of the Aphrodite Hills Resort complex.
For self-catering we used the supermarket in Pissouri, which was surprisingly well stocked, including many familiar brands from home alongside Greek or Cypriot foods. There is also a hypermarket in Paphos, which we used.
It was our first time in Cyprus and we loved it. The weather was a beautiful 28 degrees and sunny every day, which was perfect for sight-seeing, strolling, swimming or lying by the pool reading a book. There were seven DC in our party ranging from 5-11 years old and they all had a great time. The beaches on the south coast near the resort weren't very nice, so one day we headed up to Latsi on the north coast, where we enjoyed an almost deserted beach with warm, calm waters and had a delicious seafood feast afterwards in one of the local restaurants.
