We just returned from a very happy week at this hotel with our two DC (aged 8 and 4). We had a family room with bunk beds and it was spacious and very comfortable. There was a bath and shower in the room and we had HB. The food was very good with several meal choices each evening and we had a 200 euro voucher (not sure if this was from the hotel or Crystal), but it kept us in drinks for the week.
There is a lovely warm pool, an (even warmer) kids' pool, sauna, fitness room, outdoor play area, and a kids' club available from 3-9pm every day, which our kids loved and it gave us the opportunity to relax. There were other English-speaking families there and our kids made friends. There is afternoon tea from 3-5pm and a nice bar area in the foyer.
The hotel is about 5 mins' walk from the Silvretta gondola and there is a little train that takes skiers each morning, which is handy if you have small DC who don't like walking in ski boots. We left our skis at the top of the gondola in ski lockers to further simplify things.
Ischgl is one of the few Austrian resorts that is high enough to support skiing around Easter time and the main lift area is a 20-min gondola ride up the mountain. Once you arrive there is a large area (42 lifts, 218km of pistes), which should keep most skiers happy for at least a week. There is a shortage of expert terrain, but apparently there is lots of off-piste that can be accessed with a guide (there were avalanche warnings while we were there, so we stuck to the marked trails). Beginners and intermediates should be very happy, plus there are lots of nice mountain restaurants in which to stop and enjoy the view (and the odd gluhwein).
We only got back yesterday and we've already booked to go back next year!
