We stayed here on a Saturday night while we attended a friend's wedding in Brighton.
The room was tiny with a partial sea view but it was clean and had a comfy bed. The friendly guy on reception gave us a room on the top floor to 'keep us away from the Hen and Stag groups' but to be honest you would have to go much further than that to get away from the relentless noise from drunk groups of people on the streets below. However, the noise levels in the hotel itself were acceptable apart from the wind whistling down the corridors.
My biggest gripe is that the hotel has a smoking area outside the front door by reception which seemed to have at least one member of staff outside smoking at all times. It is not a nice welcome to the hotel and was VERY unpleasant - especially at 8am on Sunday morning when there were lots of hung over people smoking their hearts out filling reception with eau de smoke!! My son even commented that the amount of smoke could 'give us all cancer.'
It was functional and my son's breakfast was free but at £150 a night (it was a Saturday) not great value for money.
