We were given these as a gift - three sturdy little wooden cars (ostensibly police car, fire engine and digger) with removable, interchangeable pieces meaning children can build their own versions of the vehicles.
The pieces are fairly large and solid so are suitable for children younger than 3 (ie not a choking hazard, in my opinion).
Putting the pieces together is good for fine motor skills and also allows children to use their imagination by making different combinations - DS made a "police digger" car this evening. They seem well made and even survived a night out in the rain in the sandpit (ok one of them is a bit squeaky now...)
Our two year old comes back to them again and again since he was given them 10 months ago. Only
