"Total Waste of Money…"
Bought one of these for my Grandaughter, with fond memories of Spirograph from my childhood. It was hugely disappointing. Unusable, even. The pieces of the framework didn't fit together and after an hour of trying, we gave up. Had a look at the ELC website, and read the reviews of the product. There were 70+ reviews, ALL saying the product was terrible. But they were still selling it. They must have KNOWN all those bad reviews were there, but apparently no one took one of these off the shelf and tried it for themself, and realised it was not fit for purpose, and withdrew it from sale. I complained to ELC, and was told someone would be in touch... nothing... so I complained again... was told a prepaid pack would be sent to me in order to return in... weeks passed, and nothing. I complained AGAIN, and I DID get a return label for it, and I returned it.. Got a generic letter a week later with a voucher for the cost of the item... no reference to the problem, just a jolly little note saying 'enjoy spending this voucher'.. I then attempted to write a review of the product on the ELC website... well, surprise surprise.... all the 70+ negative comments had GONE! But, new ones were beginning to accumulate, and I added my twopennyworth. BUT, got an email saying it 'didn't comply with their guidelines''..... Lovely behaviour from a company SUPPOSEDLY concerned with the development and constructive play of children, don't you think?
