This stuff is seriously amazing for overprocessed chemically treated hair.
Olaplex works by rebonding the broken bonds in bleached and chemically treated hair.
"Rubbish!" I hear you shout. But it's true. I'd read amazing reviews about this product from hairdressers and bloggers and really couldn't decide whether to believe the hype.
Steps one and two are available to buy online but are usually used in salons. They give you the third step as a take home treatment which is what I purchased from Amazon - £17 for 100ml. It's a small bottle but based on what I used for my first treatment, I should get at least 6-8 treatments out of it.
You put the Olaplex step 3 treatment on damp hair after washing and leave it on for at least 10 minutes. It can be left overnight. As this was my first use and I was going out I left it on for 40 minutes before rinsing and conditioning my hair.
It's made a huge difference to my bleach blonde shoulder length hair. My top layers and the layers around my face were very dry and damaged, and the Olaplex has given it back strength and suppleness.
The frizziness and dryness is massively improved and I barely needed to use straighteners on my hair after the treatment.
The day after the treatment my hair is smooth, no longer crispy or knotty on the ends and it's showing a lot less breakage when I brush it.
I can't wait to use this again - the treatment should be used weekly but for very damaged hair it can be applied twice without rinsing, which is what I'll be doing next time and leaving it in overnight.
If you've got bleached or damaged hair I'd highly recommend it, it works better than any conditioning mask or oil treatment I've ever tried, and I have literally tried them all.
