What makes OGGS Mini Vanilla Cupcakes special?
OGGS is a socially-conscious, plant-based food company, specialising in egg- and dairy-free cakes. Its mission is to provide affordable and delicious plant-based alternatives to everyday foods, with a long-term goal of building a sustainable future. They’re a small start-up with a big vision: they want to stop the use of eggs in all mass-produced baking and to educate people on the harmful effects of the egg industry – all while providing tasty alternatives.
But it's not just about the cakes. OGGS consider the environmental impact of every decision they make, from the packaging they use to the local suppliers they work with. All of the plastic they use is 100% recycled, recyclable and biodegradable in landfill and they only use sustainably-sourced, cruelty-free ingredients.
OGGS Mini Cupcakes are currently available in Sainsbury’s. The tasty sponge is sandwiched with vanilla frosting and finished with colourful confetti – all completely egg- and dairy-free. They're also only 99 calories each, making them the perfect bite-sized, ethical treat for kids and adults alike.
What do Mumsnet users think?
We all enjoyed the taste. My five-year-old said the icing was “4000 times delicious.”
The simple pleasure of eating them and knowing they are cruelty-free – the ultimate feel-good factor!
My son absolutely loves them for a snack. The two packs we got have not lasted long. They seem to disappear every time certain people are in the kitchen…
