What makes Burt's Bees Baby range special?
Burts' Bees uses the purest ingredients nature has to offer to create products that clean, protect, nourish and delight, from baby’s first days onward. All their products are paediatrician tested, formulated with no parabens, phthalates, petrolatum or SLS (sodium laurel sulfate) and they are not tested on animals.
Here's what Burt's Bees says about the three different products Mumsnet users have tested:
Baby Shampoo and Body Wash
A tear-free formula to naturally clean your baby’s sensitive skin and hair. Burt’s Bees Baby Shampoo and Wash is scientifically shown to be gentle enough for everyday use. This naturally foaming, non-irritating baby shampoo and wash is made with 98.9% natural, plant-based formula containing soy proteins to leave your baby clean and smooth.
Baby Diaper Ointment
Our Diaper Rash Ointment has protecting properties to treat and prevent diaper rash. It’s 100% natural with 40% zinc oxide, the maximum strength needed to seal out moisture that can irritate your baby’s bottom. This diaper rash ointment nourishes and reconditions skin naturally with shea butter, lavender oil and jojoba seed oil while creating an emollient layer to absorb wetness, leaving baby’s skin soft, dry, and smooth.
Gently soften and soothe your baby’s skin with Burt’s Bees Baby Nourishing Baby Oil. This 100% natural baby oil has the alluring scent of apricots and is rich in nutrients and antioxidants from apricot and grape seed oils to keep your baby’s skin soft and supple. Also, it contains no synthetic fragrances, so your baby smells fresh and sweet using only natural ingredients. Add baby oil to bath or apply directly on your baby’s skin.
What do Mumsnet users think?
152 users tested the Burt's Bees Natural Baby Range, and 96% would recommend it.
The products were perfect for my child's bedtime routine. They smelled great and were so gentle on the skin. My little boy's nappy rash disappeared so quickly when using the diaper ointment.
I really enjoyed using the Baby Oil – my sensitive skin was't irritated and my baby's was left smelling lovely and feeling soft. I used it whilst doing some massage which was also a lovely bonding experience.
It’s important to me that baby products are ultra sensitive. I was concerned before using the shampoo that it could irritate his eyes, but it was definitely gentle enough for him. Scent also matters to me, I don’t like overpowering perfumes on babies, and the Burt’s Bees range was subtle and fresh.
The scent is gorgeous, smells good enough to eat! The bath wash/shampoo was great for head-to-toe washing – it has a satisfying, honey-like consistency which made her hair clean, soft and fluffy.
My son has baby eczema and didn't have a reaction to any of the three products. The oil made a difference to the roughness of his skin too, which was great. I really liked the shampoo too, and we actually keep getting compliments on how shiny his hair is since using it!
