"Lightweight, gears are easy to use, brakes really good.…"
I bought this bike for my nearly-6 year old last summer. She had not got the hang of learning to ride on her 14" Raleigh bike and we felt she had actually outgrown it and that was making it harder for her to learn. We planned to get the Frog 48 but when we went in person to a local bike shop they recommended the Frog 52 instead. We started with the pedals off for her to get a bit of confidence, then we put the pedals on and ran around after her holding her by the back of her jacket or under her arms. It took a few attempts but she learned to ride really easily on this bike and now loves riding it. We did a 7 mile bike ride just 2 weeks after she learnt to ride. She can also manage the gears herself now. I would definitely get another Frog bike and would have bought the Frog 48 for my younger daughter if I could have found one in stock last summer. I also like the unisex colours. Although we have two girls I definitely prefer Frog bikes' designs to the very gendered bikes you often find for this age group.
