I've taken the features from the Tula website and added my own thoughts.
Can be used in both front and back carry
It is better for babies to face inwards rather than out when on the parent's chest and this carrier is easy to put on by yourself. It is also secure and safe for back carrying.
Can be used from 15-45 pounds (baby sized carriers) and 25–60 pounds (toddler sized carriers)
I used it with my 91st centile baby when she was just under 15lbs at just under 3 months of age but had to put a folded up towel in the bottom to boost her up slightly. The infant insert does the same sort of thing. I used this carrier to carry my first baby until well after her first birthday and recently popped her on my back in it as she fell asleep in the supermarket! I was shocked that I could carry a nearly 3 year old. This carrier helps spread the baby's weight across your hips/shoulders so you don't get a strain on your bank.
Can be used from birth with the use of the revolutionary Tula Infant Insert (optional accessory)
Provides an ergonomic M-position seat supporting optimal development for baby’s body
This carrier helps your baby to sit comfortably and not dangle by the crotch. I could carry my baby in this for several hours at a time when walking and she would sleep happily in it.
Includes a removable hood to support baby’s head while asleep, protect from sun or wind, and allow for comfortable breastfeeding
We joked that the hood on the carrier is like a cloth over the parrot cage- it guarantees the baby would go to sleep! A handy feature and I love the way the elastic clips onto the straps to put the hood up.
Includes a front pocket for storing on-the-go necessities
Is hand made from 100% Öko-Tex Standard 100 certified cotton
I found that spot washing the carrier has been enough to keep it free of baby sick and dribble etc. I am planning to out it in the washing machine for the first time soon. Tula carriers come in lots of lovely designs and the cotton is soft but hard wearing.
This carrier is easy to adjust to fit either parent, is fast to put on and because it's a buckle carrier, feels safe and secure. Dads often seem to like using these style carriers and my husband and I both enjoy wearing our babies in it beyond the newborn stage.
