"A stunningly intimate and poignant photographic portrait of elephants at work, rest and play.…"
A colourfully glossy softback of simply stunning photographs (by Steve Bloom) of African and Indian elephants, with brief but always informative text (written by David Henry Wilson), this would as handsomely grace any coffee-table as a playroom bookshelf!
What we particularly love about 'Elephants' is that it can as equally be enjoyed as a picture book (for pre-schoolers) as one for older children.
It is a book which delights across all age-groups. The photographs alone will have adults and children coming back for more over the days, months and years. Nothing about it will date except possibly the number of these beautiful animals roaming wild, as they become increasingly endangered.
It's beautiful, dramatic and poignant in equal measures, and offers us an intimate insight into the lives of these gentle but majestic creatures.
