"Lovely book for children and adults from a great author and illustrator…"
The author's illustrations are lovely and she captures beautifully how important a special toy can become to a child, how the child's affections can be transferred to other toys and yet how she cannot bear for her brother to have her toy. "It's mine" yells Lily as she and her brother fight over who should have the blue kangaroo - how this rings true to anyone with two or more children! Both my 5 year old and my 2 and a half year old love this book and it's one that I never tire of reading. We got this book from the library and loved it so much we bought My Baby Sister and Eliza and the Moonchild.
"This is my 2yr old daughter's favourite book of all,…"
This is my 2yr old daughter's favourite book of all, we have 3 others in the blue kangaroo series and they are all lovely but this one is the best. Blue Kangaroo belongs to a little girl called Lily, in this one Lily keeps losing him until he takes drastic action!
