Author: Frank Kusy
"A fantastic Frank Kusy Memoir!…"
Once or twice in your life you come across an author that exceeds all expectations and whose books you keep forever. Frank Kusy is one of those. I was initially recommended Kevin and I in India and it was one of the best books I had read in a long time. I immediately went looking for more of his books and stumbled on this one; Too Young to be Old. It didn't disappoint! Frank lands an unexpected job as manager of a care home. He describes the characters in the home with true warmth and humour. His trusty Walkman records the elderly inmates stories of days gone by and it is clear he understands them with true compassion. His sense of responsibility had him jumping on a plane and heading to a kibbutz in Israel to rescue a lovely old man who was seeking a bit of adventure! This is Frank's personal story leading up to his crazy travel years. He is beautifully honest and very, very funny. His stories are down to earth and real. Frank cleverly draws you into his world then carrys you along on a colourful and highly entertaining journey you just don't want to end. I immediately bought Frank's 'Rupee Millionaires' and boy oh boy what an incredible story! I love how all his books are so very different from each other and yet they still leave you shouting 'more, more!' at the end! Can't wait to read the next one, and the next, and the next......
