Author: Haylen Beck
"Confusing using 2 names…"
Haylen Beck is the pen name for Stuart Neville. I personally don't see why a writer has to have two names as it gets far to confusing. I'd much prefer an author to keep to one name. This is why I have rated this book with 3 stars, had the author kept to his original name Stuart Neville I would have given it four stars. Here and gone is a about Audra who has left her abusive husband and takes her two children with her. While driving to California she is pulled over by police. The police find something illegal in the trunk of her car that she shouldn't have had. Audra is taken to the police station. Meanwhile arrangements have been made for her children who are in the car to be collected and taken somewhere safe. At the police station confusion hits in when Audra wants to know where her children are, but the police officer doesn't know what she is talking about as far as he is concerned there were no children in the car and that she was driving alone. Freaky or what? Who is telling the truth here Audra or the police officer?
