"A must buy-must read…"
The first thing I notice here while reading The Dollmaker Of Krakow was how the author has a brilliant imagination to weave together a doll that talks and magic, folklore and history all together. The story reminded me of a film that I once watched on TV Life Size with Lindsay Lohan and Tyra Banks where a young girls doll is brought to life. And of course the famous Toy Story where all the dolls come to life. In The Dollmaker Of Krakow, there is war. There is pain. But there is magic and there is hope. There was once a doll named Karolina, who lived in a country far from the human world. The land of the Dolls was a large kingdom. When she met a kind toy soldier he helped her return to the human world. The Great War was now twenty years ago. Karolina with her glass heart was met in the human world by an old man, the Dollmaker. When Karolina began to talk to the Dollmaker he realised that she was a living doll. A must read highly entertaining.I would like to thank Walker books for sending me this book for an honest review.
