Author: Tamsin Hopkins
"Deeply moving and brilliantly written short stories..could not stop reading…"
I was overwhelmed by the stories in this book. The rivers are a background to profoundly moving human emotions and crises. I defy anyone to read the story of the father and his baby set by the Nile and not be bowled over by it and then carry on thinking about it for days afterwards. Tamsin Hopkins has a rare talent, reminiscent of Rose Tremain.
