Author: Sylvia Day
"A dogged read - to take with a pinch of salt…"
Not having read the previous books in the Crossfire series this tale was completely wasted on me. The characters seemed stereotyped and boring and with the pages being repetitively filled with so much sexual activity I wondered if manuals on the subject were next on the author's list! I'm sure there are devotees of the Crossfire novels anxiously awaiting the concluding one but not me I'm afraid. Sadly I found that I didn't care what had turned Gideon into a monster and Eva and the others into what they had become either. They all seemed to deserve one another. This is the first book in years about which I can think of nothing positive to say. Sorry
