Karen Perry is a real credit to Penguin book publishers. The Boy That Never Was is an astonishingly very good story the writing and the emotional involvement. As the story progresses it gets bigger and better with twist and turns like you would never guess. There is a gasp for breath where trust becomes unsettling that touches your heart. without question this book is a excellent purchase. The story starts with a storm rising in Tangier. Harry is making a meal for wife and wants their son Dillon a sleep. Harry gives Dillon a sleeping tablet. Delivering chills through the story Dillon is fast a sleep and Harry pops out never to be able to live with the guilt and disgust at him self for what is about to happen. Tragedy strikes while harry is out and Dillon in the bed alone when rumble noises from the earth moves, walls shift an earthquake is charging through Tangier. Harry runs as fast as he can back to his house to find his house has sunk into the earth. Harry tried desperately to find Dillon but he could not. How can Harry explain this emotional tragedy that their son can not be found to his wife Robin his wife.?
