"A magical adventure for a disabled child…"
What a great idea! It's about time a positive image of a disabled child is at the centre of a magical adventure. The book includes a mixture of real life issues and the world of magic. Molly comes across as a believable heroine with the insecurities of a normal adolescent girl coupled with the challenges of being a wheelchair user. She draws on the strength of character she found to help herself recover from the accident that put her in a wheelchair in the first place and finds the courage to help other people. The addition of a doggy character and the clever interplay of the conversations she has with him adds another amusing element.
