Big colourful hardcover book with great pictures and explanations about the days of the Ancient Egyptians, in specific the conservation of their Kings and Queens and their beliefs of the world beyond death.
The book comes with flaps to lift, photos, articles, a bejeweled cover, and a secret drawer full of tomb-hunting maps, charts, stickers, materials to make your own pyramids, and even an ancient game of Egyptian Senet.
Both my partners kids (5 and 7) were absolutely mesmerized by it and it really encouraged them to use their imagination and ask questions.
The older one took it to school with her as she's learning about Egyptians in her class. The teacher really liked it and used it to show various details of Egyptian crafts and secrets.
I liked the way the book captured the kids' imagination and explained a part of Egyptian life in a detailed and interesting way. The flaps, riddles and drawings kept the kids busy for hours and it stopped them being scared of mummys because now they know exactly what's inside those bandages and how it's done.
