Duke and Duchess of Cambridge expecting third baby
Royal baby number three is on the way! Kensington Palace has confirmed that Kate and William are expecting another child.
In an announcement made this morning on Twitter, Kensington Palace confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third baby. A younger sibling to Prince George and Princess Charlotte, it has not been announced when the baby is due, but that “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
Kensington Palace also stated that the Duchess is suffering from hyperemesis, as she did in her previous two pregnancies, and that she would not be carrying out a planned engagement at Hornsey Road Children's Centre in London as a result. She is being cared for at Kensington Palace.
Kate gave birth to Prince George in 2013 and Princess Charlotte in 2015. It's likely that the new arrival will be born in 2018, and he or she will become fifth in line to the throne, following Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Previously Kate was hospitalised for hyperemesis whilst pregnant with George in 2012.
