AIBU? podcast episode 12: the one with Molly Forbes
Work yourself up into a righteous rage with episode 12 of our AIBU? podcast, hosted by Lucy Porter and Aasmah Mir
In episode 12, Lucy and Aasmah reminisce fondly over the death-defying (literally) activities that were considered acceptable in our childhoods, including lying down in front of your friend’s bike so that she could do an Evil Knievel over you; using judo belts to abseil out of the top floor of your house; and riding happily (and untethered) in the labrador compartment of your parents' Volvo Estate.
We also wallow in one of Mumsnet users’ favourite topics: horrendous behaviour at weddings. It’s a segment that is perhaps unfairly focused on mothers-in-law – although, between the Miss Haversham wedding dresses, the punching, and the sobbing, it’s pretty difficult to focus on anything else, to be fair.
A-list adjudicator blogger Molly Forbes decides that it’s fine to ask fellow users whether you’re in labour, given that she hadn’t known whether she was giving birth or was ‘just doing a really long wee’, and explains why child-free weddings are brilliant.
