Banana dessert by HouseOfBamboo

"The salt thing sounds a bit weird but you get a lovely salty caramel effect as the banana cooks"
- Serves 1

  • 1 banana
  • 1 Warburtons Square(ish) wrap
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Runny honey

Banana dessertCut a wrap in half, and place your peeled banana on top.

Use a fork to press into the banana with a fork, so that you have ridges along the banana, but it's not completely mashed. Try to cover as much of the bread as possible with banana.

Sprinkle with sea salt, or honey, or both. Put under a medium hot grill until bread starts to toast. Remove, fold, eat.

Ice-cream boat by Blatherskite

"I've never seen DS so excited about pudding before" - Serves 1
  • 1 Warburtons Square(ish) Wrap
  • Fruit, to fill (banana, strawberries, etc.)
  • Ice-cream
  • Strawberry liquorice laces (for 'ropes')
  • A straw (for a 'mast')
BoatCut the wrap in two, and fold one of the halves. Secure the edges with paper clips and gently pull into a 'boat' shape (see picture).

Spray with a little flavourless oil and put in the oven at 120C for 10 minutes until crisp and holding it's shape. While cooking, get your child to make a 'sail'.

When the wraps are cool, fill with fruit, tape the sail to a straw mast, and arrange so it stands in the middle of the boat, using strawberry laces as 'ropes' to secure it. Top with a few scoops of icecream and serve.
