Help to raise vital funds for the British Paralympic Association and win a Sainsbury's shopping voucher

Sainsbury's customers are invited to supercharge their shop through the one pack = one donation offer, and help be part of ParalympicsGB history

P&G has joined forces with Sainsbury's to launch a campaign to raise funds for the British Paralympic Association (BPA).

Kickstarted by four athletes representing ParalympicsGB in Rio this summer - rower Pam Relph, canoeist Anne Dickins, seven-a-side football captain Jack Rutter and judo champ Sam Ingram - who are all urging the British public to supercharge their shop and donate to ParalympicsGB through the P&G products they buy at Sainsbury's.

From Wednesday 31 August to Tuesday 20 September, Sainsbury's shoppers can make a real difference to the chances of all the athletes in Rio, through buying everyday brands like Pampers, Olay, Pantene and Ariel.

Getting involved is easy. Just by picking up your favourite everyday household products you are helping to support ParalympicsGB and the individual athletes achieve their dreams of being the best in the world.

Here are just a few of the  P&G brands included in the promotion:

Celine Hernandez, Brand Manager at P&G, says: "We are thrilled to be supporting ParalympicsGB. Shoppers can actually have a direct impact on the team's success with the simple action of choosing promotional packs of their daily essentials, which will be donating directly to the BPA and all the Paralympic hopefuls who are looking to bring back gold this summer."

Blood, sweat and tears aren't the only things that go into making a world-class athlete. Equipment, training facilities, nutritional experts, physiotherapists, transport and medical support are just some of the crucial elements that build a contender into a champion. From wheelchair tennis to swimming, paracanoe to powerlifting, the ParalympicsGB team are on their way to Rio, but need the British public to help fund their journey.

"It takes a lot of support - both financially and personally - to get an athlete to any Paralympic Games. The difference between gold and silver can be a millisecond or millimetre - and can be down to the support athletes receive right up until they reach the finish line or hear the final whistle," says seven-a-side football captain, Jack Rutter.

Peter Ward, Sponsorship Manager at Sainsbury's, sees this exclusive offer as an amazing opportunity: "We are proud to be associated with ParalympiansGB. Every donation counts and with all selected P&G products bought at our stores you really are helping our athletes achieve their goals and succeed."

Karl Reynolds, BPA Commercial Director adds: "2012 really propelled the Paralympic Games into the forefront of people's minds - changing perceptions and breaking down long held misconceptions of what disabled athletes can achieve. There is, however, more that can be done and it all starts with the generosity of supporters."

Shoppers can show their support for the duration of the offer and watch their favourite athletes compete at the Games from Friday 7 - Sunday 18 September 2016.
