Get crafty with Fairy and Konnie Huq
Fairy Liquid turns 50 this year and to celebrate the iconic white Fairy Liquid bottle is making a return to our grocery store shelves for a limited time.
You've been commenting in droves on your favourite Fairy liquid memories over the past couple of weeks, from the 'Mild Green Fairy Liquid' jingle to how you couldn't wait for your mum to finish the bottle so you could make the latest creation on Blue Peter.
Now you've got children of your own, why not get them to share in the fun and show them how creative you can get with an old Fairy bottle, in fact any old Fairy packaging?
It'll be worth it!
Mumsnet has joined forces with Fairy and former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq to launch a competition to find the most creative 'junk modellers' among Mumsnetters and their children.
Your joint creations can be made from any everyday items you've finished with, and your recycling might be the perfect place to start the search because anything from old cereal boxes, yoghurt pots, string, tin foil, wrapping paper, old pairs of socks or tights could prove useful.
The only requirement is that each model must contain one of the following pieces of Fairy packaging: the limited edition Fairy bottle, the clear modern Fairy bottle or an empty Fairy dishwasher tablet pouch.
Here's one I made earlier
Check out our 'making' films where Konnie shows you how to get crafty with the old Fairy packaging to make a Easter bunny table decoration, a peg bag and an old favourite, a rocket.
