LifeSkills is all about making a real difference in how prepared young people are when they leave school and enter the world of work.

You know how much students can benefit from learning about key work skills and gaining work experience, but we also know that there are usually a hundred other things to be taught and organised and vying for your attention. LifeSkills really can help.

LifeSkills is a curriculum-linked education programme based around three core modules – work skills, people skills and money skills – which can be delivered in school, or accessed directly by young people at Barclayslifeskills.com. Volunteers are also available to help deliver workshops.

Once a student completes the LifeSkills modules, teachers can also unlock the work experience matching portal. This will allow pupils to be matched to local work experience opportunities from Barclays and like-minded businesses.

For students to benefit fully from the LifeSkills programme, their school really needs to be signed up. And that’s where you come in. And it won’t just benefit the students! If your school is registered, you can use all the resources created for the programme and take advantage of all of the support available, not to mention access to the bank of work experience opportunities.

To get signed up, just head to the LifeSkills website, register your school and from there, you can start to build your LifeSkills programme.
