B&Q - A great place to work

B&Q is the largest home improvement and garden centre retailer in the UK and Europe, and the third largest in the world. It's also a great place to work for women.

Working for B&Q

People are at the heart of what we do here at B&Q, and we believe that having a diverse workforce creates a mixture of talents and makes us a successful business.

At B&Q we offer all permanent employees, irrespective of service or caring responsibilities, the right to request flexible working.

Women in business

At B&Q, we're seeing an improving trend for more women in senior positions, and attracting a more balanced employee base. Although in the past DIY was widely regarded as predominantly a male pursuit, those days are obviously long gone and we're happy to say that our product range, customers and employee base reflects that.

Two out of the seven B&Q Board Members are women and our female senior management population is continuing to grow. Having women plays a key part in our marketing and commercial departments, meaning that we're developing more female driven ranges and campaigns.
