Recent research by B&Q reveals that nearly half of parents in the UK worry their kids will grow up without having learned basic skills like DIY, cooking and gardening.

So, why not try out B&Q's Kids' Can Do It workshops, which take place at more than 50 stores nationwide every weekend. The workshops are aimed at 7–11 year olds and are really hands on, giving youngsters the chance to make something from scratch such as a bird box or garden planter. It's also a nice opportunity for both parents and kids to learn together.

What's new at Kids Can Do It Workshops?

To keep your very own little elves entertained this festive season, why not pop along to one of the four seasonal Kids Can Do It workshops that B&Q will be running.

Kids will get the chance to make a wooden advent calendar, a 3D Christmas tree, a Christmas Planter and a Santa Stop Here Sign. Workshops cost £5 and kids get to take home everything they have made.

  • 24/25 November - Advent Calendar
  • 1/2 December - Christmas Tree
