NutraSea Kids

Ascenta knows that mums want the best for their children and recognise the importance of omega-3, which is why they have launched a great tasting, premium quality omega-3 fish oil created especially for children. NutraSea Kids gives children pure honest goodness in a flavour they’ll actually enjoy.

Health Benefits and Great Taste confirmed by Mumsnetters

This Spring, Ascenta partnered with Mumsnet to have real families try NutraSea for themselves and ascentareport back on the results.  Fifty mums were selected to give their children NutraSea Kids. After two weeks of trialing, the Mumsnetters reported that NutraSea Kids did not taste fishy like most other omega-3 brands. After three months, a quarter of Mumsnetters saw an improvement in their child’s overall behaviour, and a third noticed an uplift in their child’s general mood.

Mumsnetter Nicky Whenman commented: “My son has dyspraxia, dyslexia and is on the autistic spectrum but since taking NutraSea Kids I’ve noticed an amazing difference in not only his ability to concentrate on homework, etc, but also his attitude toward sitting down and doing his school work. I also spoke to his teacher and she told me that she’d also notice an improvement in his ability to concentrate and his attitude towards school work.”

Are your children getting enough omega-3?

While mums know the benefits of omega-3, they often have trouble getting their children to eat fish, the best source of this essential nutrient. A recent study found that two in five Brits never cook fish, and this means that many children (and mums and dads too) are not getting enough omega-3 from their diet to stay healthy. Rafe Bundy, registered nutritionist, says, "Studies have shown that omega-3 fatty acid intake provides significant health benefits for children, with studies linking EPA and DHA to improved brain function, concentration and behaviour."¹

While there is no official recommended daily allowance of omega-3 for children, many  experts consider that a minimum dose of 200mg per day is important for children's health.

NutraSea Kids contains 520 mg of omega-3 in just one teaspoon (5ml) of oil and also contains 50mg of omega-6 fatty acid GLA and 500 IU of vitamin D. The GLA form of omega-6 has been scientifically proven to be beneficial for early childhood development, and Rafe Bundy says, "Vitamin D has been shown to help the body absorb calcium, which is important for growing children as it helps build strong bones."²

Tastes great

NutraSea Kids has a Very Berry flavour kids love and, because it is a liquid supplement, it can be added to smoothies, milkshakes, yoghurt and other children's favourites avoiding soft gels and capsules altogether. Fish oils should not taste fishy. NutraSea Kids uses a unique green tea antioxidant to protect against oxidation (oxidation is the cause of a fishy taste and odour) and retain its great taste through the entire shelflife.

Pure honest goodness

As a mum, you are probably concerned about the quality and purity of the products you give your children. Mums, you can rest easy knowing that NutraSea Kids is the highest-quality product in the market and you can see it for yourself. Each lot of product is third-party tested and the quality results are posted online, something that no other omega-3 fish-oil supplement manufacturer offers. By simply entering the lot number on the bottle on the company's website, you can experience the transparency for yourself and see exactly what you and your child are getting in each bottle.

Goodness for the whole family

While NutraSea Kids is recommended for children aged 2-13, soon-to-be mums and mums who are breastfeeding can still provide the right amount of omega-3 to their children by taking a daily teaspoon of NutraSea or NutraSea+D themselves.
