The farm is based on land adjacent to Cow Lane in the village of Laverstock, Salisbury.
Some of the hedgerows have been re-laid with special attention paid to the habitats of the local wildlife; we have also made provisions of alternate habitats such as bee and bat boxes, a bog garden and an insect hotel. Permissive paths are maintained throughout the farm and the parish in the form of four accessible Nature & Art trails, these have been provided to encourage managed public access.
A traditional herd of Angus X cattle are grazed both on the water meadows and on a further 60 acres of local downland, Wiltshire Horn Sheep and Lohman Brown hens are resident at the farm as co operative arrangements, with the hens roaming free range in the orchard which was planted in 2011/12. Fresh eggs are sold in the farm shop. There are two resident breeding sows, ‘Rosie’ our Gloucester Old Spot and ‘Ella’ our Oxford Sandy Black, who both produce litters for pork which is sold through our farm shop, where other locally produced produce can also be found.
We have rare breed Golden Guernsey Goats which were hand reared and two Donkeys adopted from the Donkey Sanctuary.
