The Friendship Project for children is a Warwickshire-wide charity, first established in 1986, which matches volunteers with disadvantaged children (6-16) for one-to-one outings, fun and friendship. Children are referred for a variety of reasons. Some are being bullied and have low self-esteem, others are bereaved, some may have a disabled sibling, which means they don't get much attention at home. We currently have 2 little boys in Stratford waiting for volunteers, who live in a 2-bedroom flat with 3 other siblings (and no garden) and whose behaviour at school has deteriorated. They just need the chance to get out, run around and have some fun! We're always looking for new volunteers, in all areas of the county. If you have a car, are willing to go through our extensive checks (interview, DBS, etc) and can spare 2 - 3 hours a week, then please get in touch!
